Day 3: San Pedro Sula Church of Christ
The San Pedro Sula Church is very grateful and feels loved because Dr. Doug and several team members set up the clinic for the third day in a row specifically to treat the Christians’ children after church. We worked from 11:30am to 7:00pm and saw another 63 children and several adults, dispensing 104 additional prescriptions. The moms and children waited patiently to see Dr. Doug. They were clearly anxious as they entered the exam room. But all their faces beamed with joy and gratitude as they left with armloads of cough and cold medicine, antibiotics and appropriate medicine to treat the parasites that plague these children. Our collective dreams have come true. We have begun to reach out and bring aid to the countries and people of Latin America. But, as with every Christian endeavor, God’s dreams, visions and plans always far exceed anything we could ever dream, ask or imagine.
