HOPE worldwide - Detroit began in 1993 as a grass-roots volunteer campaign to increase the immunization rates of the children in our state. Learning the vast array of needs in the community through door-to-door outreach, HOPE worldwide - Detroit developed efforts to meet these needs and expanded to provide other critically needed social services. With 400 committed volunteers, HOPE worldwide - Detroit now has multiple programs designed to empower and enrich the lives of the citizens in the metropolitan Detroit area. HOPE worldwide - Detroit provides innovative and meaningful volunteer opportunities to help and empower those in our communities who have pressing and unmet needs. Volunteer events include: Martin Luther King Day, Global Youth Service Day, blood drives and serving during the holidays just to name a few. The key to our success is our trained volunteers who are willing to give of their time to serve our communities.
