More than 90 percent of natural disaster-related deaths occur in developing nations, where existing poverty only magnifies pain and suffering. HOPE worldwide stands ready to serve communities around the world in the wake of natural and man-made disasters. Through the efforts of dedicated and compassionate volunteers, we strive to meet both the urgent and long-term needs of disaster victims and implement disaster risk reduction initiatives to minimize the effect of future events. We specialize in providing immediate on-the-ground support to disaster areas; our efforts include distributing food, water and clothing, developing therapeutic psychosocial activities for youth and rebuilding homes and schools. With the help of local churches and well-established corporate partners, we are helping o neighbors rebuild their lives and are continuously developing capacity to provide thoughtful and compassionate responses before, during and after disasters.
