Taking a Stand to Serve the Poor
Above, attendees to HOPE worldwide's Global Summit raise their hands as former Philadelphia mayor and founder of AMACHI* Rev. Dr. W. Wilson Goode called each person to stand firm and be active in serving the less fortunate. To the left, Randy Jordan, HOPE worldwide CEO, speaks about the impact of HOPE worldwide on the needs of the poor around the world. Hearts stirred and tears fell as their stories, speeches and statistics
reminded us of the great need to serve the poor.
Other speakers told the compelling stories of the continuing global needs in relation to the economy and today's challenging times. Some highlighted the growing need for unity and partnership to accomplish the daunting task of fighting poverty and disaster. Church leaders and program directors shared how each person can bring their skills to help meet the growing needs of the poor. You can still benefit from this year's Global Summit!
