Mobilizing Communities Across Africa Against HIV/AIDS 200 communities affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa are helped annually.
The Challenge The African HIV/AIDS pandemic represents a crisis of epic proportions. Communities are weakened, children are orphaned, and the problem grows daily.
The Innovation HOPE worldwide has worked in partnership with governments and other organizations and professionals since 1991 to develop pioneering integrated community-based programs that include HIV/AIDS care and support, services for orphaned and vulnerable children, voluntary clinical testing and prevention education programs for adults and children.
The Impact HOPE worldwide today is involved throughout sub-Saharan Africa through 40 volunteer programs and 500 staff members. We are also extending the impact of our work by sharing expertise, best practices and contributing to capacity development by other organizations joining the fight against HIV/AIDS.
