Serving Central Illinois

Thank you for your interest in the Bloomington Chapter of HOPE worldwide! We are a group of volunteers with a passion to be a light in the Blooomington/Normal area as well as the surrounding communities in McLean County, Illinois. Our objectives as a chapter are:

  • Raise awareness about those most in need locally and around the world – who often can’t advocate for themselves.
  • Cultivate a heart serve in our volunteers and encourage them to step out on faith.
  • Provide opportunities to serve so that volunteers can use their talents to change lives.

We provide a variety of community service opportunities throughout the year including:

  • Neighborhood cleanups and revitalization
  • Packing weekend food packages for kids in need
  • Christmas toy drive and party for lower-income preschoolers
  • Food and supply drives
  • Hope Scouts: a community service club for our youngest volunteers in grades K-8
  • Partnering with local agencies to provide volunteers for community service projects—including Habitat for Humanity, Midwest Food Bank, Heartland Head Start, Fox Creek Promise Council and more.

Please check our Facebook page's calendar for upcoming service events or contact us with more questions about volunteer opportunities. If you are a local organization in need of volunteer service, please contact us to discuss if we can provide what you’re looking for! Our volunteers are diverse in age, ability and experience. We look forward to hearing from you!

You can also sign up for our quarterly email newsletter to get all the latest news and volunteer opportunities.
