Hope Worldwide. Bringing Hope. Changing Lives.

Ecuador Volunteer Corps

(December 16 - December 28)

What?

The volunteers will spend the first couple of days in the capital Quito and then will travel to the rural area of Cunuyacu, in the beautiful mountains about three hours away from Quito. They will engage with the local community for the rest of the two weeks and support the CULTIVA program,

which is a sustainable agriculture project.

Building on what the 2022 Volunteer Corps and HOPEww Ecuador have already started, the participants will work with the community and further develop the CULTIVA program, upscaling the greenhouses and helping train the local youth to run the program. The goal is for the community to learn to grow

and market their own food.

Anyone with agriculture or business background skills would be helpful, but anyone with a willing heart can serve. There will be plenty of other activities with the local children and families.

NOTE: Pedro Garcia-Bengochea, Senior Director of Church Relations at HOPEww, will be going on this Volunteer Corps. He will provide some deep teaching on the ministry of Jesus during the morning devotionals.
