Haiti HVC

Get ready for the experience of your life!

 In August 2016, the Hamilton Church of Christ (Canada) opened the 1st Oasis Home for Kids in Les Cayes (www.OasisHaiti.org ), a refuge for orphans. Most of them were sick and unschooled when they arrived but now they have a home, a loving family and a future…  

 Only two months after we opened our doors, Hurricane Matthew destroyed part of the orphanage and killed nearly 1,000 people in the area, ruining several homes and affecting the local economy.  

 A lot of people in the surroundings are still suffering the consequence of Hurricane Matthew. We helped many people to rebuild, but there is still a lot of work to be done, especially in the remote village of St-Martin where we will bring hope to a hurting community.

After two years of existence, these are the highlights of what God has accomplished so far:

· Fully operational orphanage for 30 abandoned children

· School pilot project helping more than 50 underprivileged kids

· Created and maintained 16 full-time jobs for men and women

· Microloans program helping more than 60 people/families

 Through HVC 2019 in Haiti, you now have the opportunity to write the history of a great project with us, and make a difference in the lives of so many. You will be amazed by the beauty of this country, its culture and unique people.

Dates: July 16-30, 2019
Price (in US dollars): $1,230 plus flights
Deadline for registration and payment: June 15, 2019
Audience: This trip has a minimum age of 18 (participants must turn 18 at the latest 3 months after the trip). No chaperone arrangement for this program, unless accompanied by a parent. This is a fairly rugged program.

Dates: December 21-30, 2019
Price (in US dollars): $1,060 plus flights
Deadline for registration and payment: November 15, 2019
Audience: This trip has a minimum age of 18 (participants must turn 18 at the latest 3 months after the trip). No chaperone arrangement for this program, unless accompanied by a parent. This is a fairly rugged program.
