About the Role:
The SPARK Academy Program Manager plays a vital role in bringing healing and hope to fire-impacted communities in California by overseeing the daily operations of the SPARK Academy (Special Program in Arts Resiliency for Kids). This temporary, part-time position (June 1–August 31), based in Los Angeles, ensures the successful implementation of the SPARK Academy program, which is designed to support children and families recovering from disaster-related trauma.
Qualifications:
- Live in California or surrounding communities
- Experience in program management, youth programming, or Pre-K through 5th grade education preferred
- Travel required within the greater Los Angeles area

About the Role:
The SPARK Volunteer Coordinator plays a crucial role in the success of the SPARK Academy by recruiting, training, and supporting a team of volunteers to assist in the daily operations of the program. This temporary, part-time position (June 1–August 31), based in Los Angeles, focuses on coordinating volunteer efforts during the camp program to ensure a safe and enriching environment for children affected by disaster.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, people-oriented, and passionate about creating a supportive environment for youth impacted by disaster, with a strong focus on volunteer management and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Live in California or surrounding communities
- Experience in volunteer coordination, youth programming, or event management preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage volunteers and maintain engagement throughout the program
- Availability to work on-site during program activities
