Amanda Nakano GSI Bio

I am currently living in San Diego as I finish my 4th year at San Diego State University! I am majoring in journalism with an emphasis in media studies and minoring in communications. I was raised in Orange County, California, but am originally from São Paulo, Brazil. My cultural identity is a large part of who I am and something I am proud to represent. Seeing how Jesus fought for His community and loved every person He met drives my passion for justice and service. I am looking forward to learning and connecting with others who are striving towards the same goal, pleasing God!
