What?

Bahamas HOPE worldwide Volunteer Corps 2021

Volunteers will serve the community of Freeport, which was devastated by Hurricane Dorian. They will help restore homes, take part in children's programs, and help rehabilitate the environment. The program will center around post-disaster service. It will include manual labor, as well as other less physical service opportunities, so everyone’s skills can be used effectively.

Why?

On September 1, 2019, Hurricane Dorian made landfall in the northern Bahamas as the strongest Atlantic hurricane on record to make landfall. The Category 5 storm left thousands of people without homes and jobs. 

Who?

Service and aid to the Freeport community for disaster relief.

AUDIENCE: All-generations program. Family friendly. Minimum age of 17 for US volunteers, and 15 for non-US volunteers. US volunteers aged 15 and 16 will need a chaperone who is over the age of 21. No volunteer under the age of 15 for this trip, even if accompanied by a parent.
Price: $1,150 (not including flights)
