Emma Miller GSI Bio

Emma Miller GSI Bio

My name is Emma Miller and I am a junior at Northeastern University (go Huskies!) pursuing a degree in nursing. I get to witness miracles take place every day working in the Labor and Delivery Unit at one of Boston's hospitals, and additionally have interned for the Boston campus ministry for the last 2 years where God continues to blow my faith away through the miracles He has performed in that arena. In previous years I have attended an HYC in Philadelphia, PA, and an HVC in Bucharest, Romania, both of which left an indelible realization in me that the world possesses so many needs beckoning to be met by souls willing to give. At the heart of who Jesus is, is one who lays his life down for those around him in service and ultimately in sacrifice, and to claim to live as He did without serving our community is farcical. He is the beacon of light I am called to reflect, and neglecting service would be dulling His gleam. I'm always grateful to HOPE worldwide for providing such an incredible outlet to live out this calling, and look forward to this GSI adventure!
