Nicole Whitehead GSI Bio

I am from Santa Clarita, California. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison studying non-profit leadership as well as French and global health. In the summer of 2019, I went on a HVC to Nairobi, Kenya. In my short time there I was able to learn that true hope does not depend on what is in front of you, but comes from having full faith in God's promises. I am a big believer in the power of hope -- ask me about it! Being both black and hispanic I am no stranger to crossing cultural barriers and hope to help others learn how to overcome language and other obstacles. I feel blessed to be chosen for this opportunity to guide hearts in service, and I hope that as a GSI I can inspire others to want to make a difference in our communities and help those in need.
