A Safe Place to Land.
A Stronger Place to Launch.
HOPE worldwide's The Launchpad walks alongside young adults as they transition out of crisis and into possibility. Every story we support is a future we help rewrite.

What is The Launchpad?
The Launchpad is a transitional support and empowerment hub that provides emergency shelter for young adults ages 18 to 21 who are facing housing instability, aging out of foster care, or navigating life without a dependable safety net. We provide more than just a place to land—but a place to launch into an independent life, as we offer connection, coaching, and community. Through personalized life planning, workforce readiness, and holistic mentorship, we help young people stabilize, dream big, and step confidently into their independence and a hopeful future.
A key part of our impact comes from our close partnership with Positive Impact International and their Safe Place program—an emergency shelter for unhoused teens that provides trauma-informed care and individualized guidance toward long-term stability. While Positive Impact supports youth in crisis beginning in their early teens, The Launchpad steps in at age 18 to continue that journey. Together, we create a continuum of care that bridges adolescence to young adulthood, walking alongside each participant with tools, trust, and hope for a thriving future.
Jason's Story: Where Hope Meets Opportunity

At just 17, Jason was forced to make an unthinkable choice. When his family arrived in Atlanta seeking shelter, no facility would take them all together. Because of his age, Jason had to separate from his mother and younger siblings and chose to sleep in an abandoned warehouse so they could stay safe.
Despite the hardship, Jason continued showing up to school each day. Eventually, a caring school counselor uncovered his situation and connected him to Safe Place, which led to Positive Impact International, one of our trusted partners in Gwinnett County.
Through this connection, Jason entered a support network that helped him regain stability. He graduated on time, landed a job at Chick-fil-A, and quickly earned a promotion. When he turned 18, he transitioned into The Launchpad, HOPE worldwide’s transitional housing program for young adults ages 18 to 21.
Soon after, Jason moved into his first apartment, a major milestone on his journey toward independence. For the first time in his life, he had a home of his own.
Today, Jason is working full-time, enrolled in college, and mentoring others through our Launchpad youth leadership program. He is the first in his family to attend college, live independently, and break the cycle of poverty.
Jason’s story is a powerful reminder of what is possible when young people have access to safe housing, compassionate guidance, and a community that believes in their potential.
