Healing Continues in Hunt
HOPE worldwide’s SPARK Academy brings healing after floods

More than a year after devastating floods reshaped life in Hunt, Texas, children are continuing their journey toward healing through HOPE worldwide’s SPARK Academy. Designed to serve youth ages 5-12 in communities impacted by disaster, SPARK Academy provides a safe, supportive space for children to connect and process their experiences.
In partnership with volunteers from Texans Recovering Together, a crisis counseling assistance and training program, SPARK Academy provided children with opportunities to connect with peers navigating similar experiences, express themselves through creative activities, and spend time in a supportive environment where they could rebuild confidence, connection, and hope.
Hosted at Hunt School, where nearly 90% of students were directly impacted by the July 2025 floods, SPARK Academy has welcomed more than 60 children from Hunt and neighboring communities, including Kerrville and Ingram.
This academy also marks an important milestone for HOPE worldwide as the first SPARK Academy funded entirely through the generosity of our donor community. As recovery continues across the region, your support is helping bring stability, encouragement, and healing to children and families who continue to feel the effects of disaster.
