Providing Earthquake Relief in Venezuela
Partnering with the Church of Christ in Caracas

In the wake of the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, HOPE worldwide quickly mobilized to support affected communities. We partnered with the Church of Christ in Caracas, providing emergency funds to purchase food, clean water, and other essential humanitarian supplies for those impacted by the disaster.
Approximately 250 people received critical personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety gloves for clearing debris, face masks, and other work tools. enabling safe debris removal, community cleanup efforts, and other essential recovery activities.
We also worked alongside international partners to strengthen our response in Venezuela. Special thanks to our partner, Wine To Water, for coordinating the delivery of water filters that are supporting relief efforts in Caracas. Fifteen water filtration systems were delivered to first responders and shelter facilities, helping ensure reliable access to safe, clean drinking water.
The church continues to distribute tarps, water filters, medications, and hygiene supplies to disaster-affected communities, with 50 volunteers contributing more than 500 volunteer service hours to date. Last Saturday they distributed 150 freshly prepared lunches, along with enough coffee, prepared drinks, water and oatmeal for 300 people.
As for our future plans: We will continue visiting the devastated areas to provide ongoing support, supplying food, drinks, medicine, and hygiene and safety products for heavy equipment operators and rescue workers.,. We will also provide relief to the area shelters, organizing recreational or sports activities for the people there. One of these shelters houses 130 adults and 87 young people and children. We plan to put together school supply kits with backpacks, pencils, notebooks, and PE uniforms to deliver in time for the start of the new school year in September. . There are also areas where many people are living in tents. We want to visit them to cook for them and serve them. We will continue to monitor needs and strive to meet them as quickly as possible.
Thank you to our generous donors and partners whose support makes this immediate relief possible. As we continue to provide ongoing relief, we ask that you keep the people of Venezuela in your prayers.
