$1.5M RAISED FOR COVID-19 RELIEF. THANK YOU!

HOPE worldwide • May 21, 2020

Dear HOPE worldwide Family,

With your support, we’ve raised $1.5 million for our COVID-19 relief efforts. Thank you so much for your sacrifice and belief in our mission. HOPE worldwide has now sent COVID-19 relief through 203 church partners in 54 countries to help feed over 30,000 people in need.

HOPE worldwide has been able to support and fund every request we’ve received for assistance during this crisis, providing emergency food and relief supplies to help support our global family. The effects of this pandemic are immense, but our supporters have responded with great faith and action! These funds are helping to provide relief in Asia, Africa, Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe, Mexico, and the Middle East.

We are continuing to receive more requests for support, and our COVID-19 relief team is working quickly to mobilize funds to provide immediate food, medicine, and emergency supplies. In the near future, we will also begin to provide emotional trauma support programs for those affected by the pandemic. As you know, we are in unprecedented times with the COVID-19 crisis. The mental health toll around the world from death, sickness, and economic hardship is and will be staggering. HOPE worldwide is putting together a team of trained mental health professionals to assist people through these traumatic events.

We are busy meeting many needs with these funds and will continue to serve with a vision that no one in our global family will go to bed hungry tonight. This is a truly historic effort; however, we do expect this unfortunate situation will continue over the weeks and months to come. Your prayers and continued support are needed.

If you’re in a position to give, please donate your “Loaves and Fishes” to advance this cause. We believe God is multiplying our gifts to feed many!

With your generosity of heart and spirit we are accomplishing the compassionate work God has put on all of our hearts. Our staff and volunteers wish to thank you for your generous support during this pandemic. Your love, your time, and your financial gifts are deeply appreciated. You are having a sustaining global impact on those we serve. Thank you!

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and brother, Dave Tomlinson. Dave was a beloved part of the HOPE worldwide family who served in many capacities throughout his time with us, most recently as Chief Operating Officer before his retirement. He also played an important role in our Global Disaster Response and Community Service Brigades teams, serving alongside his wife, Angela. More than the roles he held, Dave was a cherished friend whose warmth, kindness, and genuine spirit touched so many people. His care for others was evident in the way he served, led, and built relationships with people around the world. Dave had a remarkable ability to encourage, uplift, and connect with people, reflecting God's love in both his leadership and his friendships. We will miss Dave deeply and are grateful for the many ways he gave of himself to HOPE worldwide and to the amazing people we get to serve. We’re holding Angela and their family close in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Dave’s presence will be deeply missed, but his faith, love, and example will remain in our hearts forever and his legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
