Shane Engel • December 21, 2018

HOPE worldwide in La Paz, Bolivia is looking for a primary healthcare provider to join us in our work at our new state of the art medical clinic providing primary care with an emphasis on education and evidence based medicine.

This private ambulatory medical clinic serves as a part of a sustainable social enterprise and provides care for those with the means to pay for their care with all of the profits going to projects serving the poor within our community.

We are looking for a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant with primary care training (adults and pediatrics) or at least 3 years of primary care experience.

This is an excellent opportunity to practice evidence-based medicine in a modern office with highly trained staff within a developing country. There are many opportunities to serve the poor in our community, as well as, to explore the natural beauty of Bolivia and South America.

Opportunities for leadership development and teaching. Spanish speaking is not required, but would be helpful, in this bilingual setting. Short-term volunteers or those desiring a longer commitment are welcome . Housing is provided for all. For those staying longer, a stipend to cover costs and living expenses is available. For more information please explore our website at: https://www.cmihope.com/

Please forward this opportunity to any healthcare professional you know who might be interested

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and brother, Dave Tomlinson. Dave was a beloved part of the HOPE worldwide family who served in many capacities throughout his time with us, most recently as Chief Operating Officer before his retirement. He also played an important role in our Global Disaster Response and Community Service Brigades teams, serving alongside his wife, Angela. More than the roles he held, Dave was a cherished friend whose warmth, kindness, and genuine spirit touched so many people. His care for others was evident in the way he served, led, and built relationships with people around the world. Dave had a remarkable ability to encourage, uplift, and connect with people, reflecting God's love in both his leadership and his friendships. We will miss Dave deeply and are grateful for the many ways he gave of himself to HOPE worldwide and to the amazing people we get to serve. We’re holding Angela and their family close in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Dave’s presence will be deeply missed, but his faith, love, and example will remain in our hearts forever and his legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
