Through the efforts of compassionate volunteers, HOPE worldwide aims to provide outpatient medical and dental care and educational opportunities for the ICOC church families and their neighbors living in extremely poor communities outside of the United States. As a faith-based program, the Community Service Brigades were born out of the Christian conviction that we can and must do a better job of reaching out to those in need in our family of churches and the community at large in Latin America. Our Brigade teams enjoy times of prayer and fellowship together as well as an opportunity to attend Sunday worship with members of a local International Church of Christ.

On a recent visit to serve with HOPE worldwide Bolivia, I had the honor of meeting an incredible young man named Farid. Over the past 8 years, Farid has lived at Casa Esperanza, a boys home for abandoned children, and a longtime partner of HOPE ww Bolivia. For nearly a decade, HOPE ww has come alongside these vulnerable children with literacy, mentorship, and other support programs to help them graduate and find a job and community where they can thrive.
