HOPEww Makes Florida Panhandle News for Veterans Day Event

Shane Engel • November 14, 2018

We are so proud of our HOPE worldwide Disaster Response Team for their incredible service and volunteer spirit that recently encouraged the Callaway, Fl community. On Veteran's Day Monday, HOPE worldwide , in partnership with Feed the Children, The Crossway Church and The Nascar Foundation , were able to provide food and recovery products for over 400 families in the disaster torn area.

Feed the Children has trusted HOPEww volunteers to distribute 4 semi-trucks in 5 weeks. This amounts to over $350,000 in goods and services have been provided to over 1,600 families affected by the recent hurricanes. We want to say THANK YOU to all of the volunteers who served and made this outreach possible!

On a recent visit to serve with HOPE worldwide Bolivia, I had the honor of meeting an incredible young man named Farid. Over the past 8 years, Farid has lived at Casa Esperanza, a boys home for abandoned children, and a longtime partner of HOPE ww Bolivia. For nearly a decade, HOPE ww has come alongside these vulnerable children with literacy, mentorship, and other support programs to help them graduate and find a job and community where they can thrive.
