The Global Service Internship is the leadership development program attached to Volunteer Corps.
Since 2014, we have trained over 70 interns from all over the world to lead Volunteer Corps. We are very proud of them, their maturity, spirituality, hard work, and their commitment to the full gospel.
We love the diversity of the Global Service Internship. The new interns are Nora Nadam(Sweden), Mac Jessen(Canada), Ma ya Oshunbiyi (UK), Juliana Duimstra(Canada), Vanessa Wu (Singapore), Seth Hernandez(Mexico), Sam Berensohn(USA), Wesley Tan (Singapore), Joey Johnson(USA), and Gabe Jung (Canada). They will be trained for the next two years, along with the second year GSI who started their training last year. By next June, they will start leading their own HVC!
Apart from preparing and leading trips, the GSI write the monthly newsletter, write the HVC devotionals curriculum, the quiet times series, maintain the HVC blog on the Hww website, our social media accounts, mentor new GSI as they come in, work on the HVC toolkit, the monitoring and evaluation of our programs, etc.
Our GSI alumni go on to careers in the ministry, non profit, medicine, education, and some even work for Hww!
For more information on the GSI, visit our website: https://www.hopeww.org/gsi

On a recent visit to serve with HOPE worldwide Bolivia, I had the honor of meeting an incredible young man named Farid. Over the past 8 years, Farid has lived at Casa Esperanza, a boys home for abandoned children, and a longtime partner of HOPE ww Bolivia. For nearly a decade, HOPE ww has come alongside these vulnerable children with literacy, mentorship, and other support programs to help them graduate and find a job and community where they can thrive.
