Medical Professionals and Bi-Lingual Volunteers Needed for Puerto Rico

Applications Open for the June 28-July 1 Brigade

Calling medical, dental and pharmacy professionals and bi-lingual (Spanish/English) volunteers for the first HOPE worldwide Community Service Brigade (CSB) in Puerto Rico. The goal of the CSB is to provide health and dental care for the members of our ICOC churches and their communities living in desperate poverty. This will be an incredible opportunity to provide healing and hope to many struggling to recover from the devastation caused by recent storms.

Please understand that due to extensive infrastructure damage on the island, the number of volunteers on this first team to Puerto Rico will be limited. First priority will be given to medical professionals and bilingual applicants. We greatly appreciate our CSB volunteers so applicants not selected for this team will have first priority for the next Puerto Rico CSB team.

Puerto Rico CSB Schedule:

·Volunteers Arrive San Juan (SJU) Thursday, June 28 / before 5 p.m.

·CSB Clinic: Friday, June 29

·CSB Clinic: Saturday, June 30

·Worship with the San Juan COC: Sunday, July 1

·Volunteers Depart: Sunday Afternoon/Evening, July 1 or Monday July 2

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and brother, Dave Tomlinson. Dave was a beloved part of the HOPE worldwide family who served in many capacities throughout his time with us, most recently as Chief Operating Officer before his retirement. He also played an important role in our Global Disaster Response and Community Service Brigades teams, serving alongside his wife, Angela. More than the roles he held, Dave was a cherished friend whose warmth, kindness, and genuine spirit touched so many people. His care for others was evident in the way he served, led, and built relationships with people around the world. Dave had a remarkable ability to encourage, uplift, and connect with people, reflecting God's love in both his leadership and his friendships. We will miss Dave deeply and are grateful for the many ways he gave of himself to HOPE worldwide and to the amazing people we get to serve. We’re holding Angela and their family close in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Dave’s presence will be deeply missed, but his faith, love, and example will remain in our hearts forever and his legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
