1 Million Ordered to Evacuate

As we prepare for Hurricane Florence, there are things we can do to preemptively prepare for precise action.

In this category 3 hurricane, we are anticipating:

  • Massive Flooding
  • High Winds
  • Damage to Homes
  • Power Outages
  • Road Closures
HOPE worldwide’s Global Disaster Response team is monitoring all these life-threatening disasters and is communicating preparedness information to threatened areas. In the US, Hurricane Florence is now a very dangerous category 3 Hurricane that is expected to make landfall somewhere in North Carolina.

In the threatened areas in the US, Caribbean and Philippines, there are over 30 HOPEww chapters with over 10,000 members. Around the world over 200 Million people are currently in the path of a Hurricane or Typhoon.

We are positioned to support the disaster and we're asking for your support by sharing our efforts, signing up to volunteer, and/or make a financial contribution to support the relief, response, and rebuilding efforts.

You can help provide hope to those impacted by Hurricane Florence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families who have evacuated and may be affected by this natural disaster.

Please provide life-changing support by making a donation here .

Thank you for your compassion and attention to this urgent matter. We appreciate you and your time.

On a recent visit to serve with HOPE worldwide Bolivia, I had the honor of meeting an incredible young man named Farid. Over the past 8 years, Farid has lived at Casa Esperanza, a boys home for abandoned children, and a longtime partner of HOPE ww Bolivia. For nearly a decade, HOPE ww has come alongside these vulnerable children with literacy, mentorship, and other support programs to help them graduate and find a job and community where they can thrive.
